Cantor Daniel Colthof studied cantorial art at the Tel Aviv Cantorial Institute led by cantor Naftali Herstik where he studied with outstanding teachers of cantorate and Jewish singing including musician Raymond Goldstein, cantor Chaim Feifel and musician Yotam Segal.

 

Daniel served in the IDF as a military cantor and was appointed as IDF's deputy chief cantor by Ltc. Shai Abramson, IDF's chief cantor.  

 

Cantor Colthof has appeared on concert stages in Israel and abroad and served as cantor at the Sinai synagogue in Ramat Gan.  

 

Since 2014 Daniel Colthof has served as chief cantor to the "Heichal Habanim" synagogue in Kefar Shmaryahu, Israel.
